When we arrived in Novel, this landscape, with these mountains falling into the lake, completely won us over.

Over the months and years, we have walked the trails, visited museums, discovered traditions, tasted specialties … We have immersed ourselves in this place and now we want you to discover it.

So below you will find a variety of activities and places to discover. We wanted to classify them into three themes, the French part, the Swiss part and finally the hikes that surround us.

This ranking is completely subjective, it is only the reflection of our experiences and our favorites!

But there are certainly dozens of others … So know that we will continue to explore and add our discoveries here!

Right side: the French shores

The Chablais region is rich and varied for its landscapes but also its culture & traditions.

Bordered to the north by the shores of Lake Geneva, the Chablais is full of emblematic places like the city of Evian & its source, little-known & mysterious places like the Gorges du Pont du Diable, but all are worth a detour.

Whether you are more of a lake or a mountain, nature or culture, relaxation or adventure, there is something for everyone!

Switzerland has never been so close!

Discover the magnificent canton of Valais, its heritage and its landscapes.

Montreux will seduce culture lovers with the famous Montreux Jazz Festival and the hilarious Montreux Comedy festival!

Also take advantage of the tourist infrastructures offered by Switzerland, such as the Aquaparc or the pretty fleet of steam trains “Swiss Vapeur Parc”

And without borders: hiking trails

Many hikes are possible around Novel. From family walks to great sports hikes, Cécile & Yoan will be able to advise you.

Hiking files are also available to you, in particular for climbing the Pic Boré, discovering Lac de Lovenex via the Col de la Croix or even approaching the ibex of the Col de Bise or Pavis. And if you want to dominate the Chablais, the Dent d’Oche is waiting for you.

The GR9, otherwise called “Les balconies du Léman” will take you from ridge to ridge for a breathtaking panorama of the lake!

The GR5 , when he takes hikers from the North Sea to the Mediterranean, by stopping off at Novel! With its historic start in Saint Gingolph, stop off with us during your stopover to the Chapelle d’Abondance.
